The world is stuck in a cyclical state of war, ending in a brief period of peace of 60-80 years before it resumes. As time passes, trauma fades; wars become memory and myth. Veterans come home, tell stories, and pass away. Each war culturally resets society each cycle, leading to heroes, tragedies, and legendary battles are romanticized.
Multiple fronts and theaters are established during the course of the war.
