Overview
An unaligned, clandestine intelligence and bounty network of Specialist hunters and intelligence operators funded through independently posted bounties, letting natural selection determine who stays and gets paid.
The main network, which manages bounty placements, payments, postings, and mobilization are controlled by an incognito administration.
Information regarding bounties and job completions are sent through a high frequency transmission which only advanced radios can tune to. Boogeymen use these frequencies to report finished jobs, find bounties, and locations to receive monetary dead drops.
The Administration imposes a tax on bounties to sponsor operations and provide advanced radios to Boogeymen.
Composed of veterans of Nation Counter Specialist Companies, Legions, and professional Stray navigators. People can earn a fortune if they set their differences aside.
Their combined unique knowledge and experience compensates for one another’s blindspots and creates its own doctrine and encyclopedia-esque field knowledge of Specialists.
Boogeymen squads trade Specialist data through radios, exchanging it for information or money.
The Boogeymen utilizes a bounty system which governments and powerful actors outsource jobs to. Successful Boogeymen squads choose when to operate bounties, deciding on geopolitics and target’s psychology with inference from their informants, holding off jobs for weeks to months until the time is right.
The moniker was given by surviving Specialists, spreading their experiences of suddenly being overwhelmed by ordinary soldiers during chaos who seemingly had no affiliation.
Due to the Boogeymen’s lack of alignment, they are susceptible to being perceived as threat by all groups, causing them to only take action during periods of when their target is isolated or vulnerable, taking advantage of their behavior and limitations of their Application.
Commonly only cognizant of by Specialists, most normal infantry have never heard of The Boogeymen.
